Leaders Praise Shared Vision and Synergy

McDowell emphasized that the partnership is “not just about scale—it’s about synergy, quality, and delivering exceptional value to clients across Ireland and beyond.”

Adrian Wall, speaking on behalf of Regan Wall, echoed that sentiment: “Fieldfisher’s collaborative culture, international reach, and sector expertise align perfectly with our values and ambitions. Joining Fieldfisher opens a broader platform for growth and innovation while continuing to deliver the high-quality, partner-led service we’re known for.”

A Growing European Footprint

The merger continues Fieldfisher’s aggressive international expansion strategy, which has seen it open new offices across Europe. The firm first entered the Irish market in 2019 through its merger with McDowell Purcell, led by McDowell himself.

Since then, Fieldfisher has established a presence in Vienna (June 2023), Milan (April 2024), Portugal (July 2024), and Poland, where it launched offices in Warsaw and Krakow earlier this year.

Fieldfisher’s Managing Partner Robert Shooter previously described Vienna as a gateway to Central and Eastern Europe and a “key hub for international arbitration.”

When the Regan Wall merger becomes official, Fieldfisher will boast 28 offices across 14 countries, positioning the firm as one of the fastest-growing European legal powerhouses—a global player with Irish roots and continental ambitions.
