With the recent completion of their fifth North American lower middle market-focused private equity fund, the firm has now amassed an impressive $1 billion in funds since 2015. This latest fund, eQ PE XV US, celebrated its final closure on November 30, setting the stage for a new chapter in eQ's remarkable journey.

eQ PE XV US is not just another fund; it's a mosaic of financial opportunities. Comprising 11 to 12 funds, it promises a rich tapestry of sector and geographic diversity, encompassing around 200 portfolio companies. With 40% of the fund already allocated, eQ is demonstrating its prowess in fund manager selection, ensuring a robust and varied investment portfolio.

eQ's European Ventures and Expanding Horizons

The Finnish firm's financial saga doesn't stop here. Rewind to 2018, and we see eQ raising €310 million across two funds focused on Northern Europe's unlisted small and midsized businesses, and funds in secondary markets. Fast forward to the present, and eQ is breaking new ground with its second venture capital fund, eQ VC II. This fund, with an initial $20 million raised, is set to support over 500 tech companies, primarily in the U.S., through 2024.
