Central to any presidential candidate’s campaign is the running mate they choose to join them on the ticket. For Trump, there’s been talk about whether selecting Vance was a miscalculation. So far, the Ohio senator’s favorability stands at 36%, while 45% view him unfavorably.
For Walz, he carries a 38% favorability rating, with 35% seeing him in an unfavorable manner. The Minnesota governor was ultimately handpicked by Harris for his leadership experience, background in education, and pronounced focus on the middle class.
Throughout the vice president’s run for the White House, she’s promised to uplift middle America, should she win the election.
More polls to keep an eye on
Americans who are eager to follow the presidential race are going to have ample opportunities to do so. Pollsters can be expected to release new data in the aftermath of this week’s Democratic National Convention. The same also goes for next month’s first (and possibly only) debate between Harris and Trump.
In the meantime, surveys divided by gender show the vice president leading comfortably with women, while Trump holds a double-digit advantage among male voters.
