Weldon’s foray into law was influenced by her upbringing, hailing from a family with a legacy of legal professionals, particularly her father, a prominent water-rights attorney based in Phoenix. She completed her law degree in 2001 from William & Mary Law School following her undergraduate studies in classics and anthropology at the University of Arizona.

Her legal career commenced as an associate at Mariscal Weeks McIntyre & Friedlander PA, later progressing to Snell & Wilmer in 2002. Weldon’s early ambitions of becoming an environmental attorney evolved during her association with franchise-related cases. Her work with franchisors, coupled with her involvement with the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising, gradually solidified her commitment to this field. Over two decades, she honed her practice, representing franchisors in various litigation matters.

As Haynes Boone strengthens its Orange County office, Elizabeth Weldon’s arrival underscores the firm’s commitment to enhancing its franchise and distribution team, catering to the burgeoning demands of clients across California.
