“The safety of our customers and crew is paramount, and Delta has zero tolerance for unruly behavior,” Delta Air Lines said in a statement. The airline apologized to passengers for the disruption and resulting travel delay.
Despite the early-morning tension, airport operations appeared largely unaffected. Around 8 a.m., there were no visible signs of heightened security at the Delta counter and no noticeable lines, suggesting the broader travel schedule remained intact.
Flight Continues With Delay
After law enforcement cleared the aircraft, the flight departed again later Wednesday morning. Delta said it was expected to arrive in Atlanta approximately 90 minutes behind schedule.
