Throughout Insidious: The Red Door, Dalton takes the stage as the leading protagonist. Though, both he and Josh have to go back into the Further to regain their memories, understand their history, fight their demons, and learn more about their own pasts.
Billed as the final Insidious movie, The Red Door ends on a hopeful note. It gives the sense that the Lambert family will be alright, despite what they’ve been through over the years.
As an added bonus, Elise appears at the end of the movie with a very important message for Josh. A key scene within the second act also reveals her sidekicks, Specs and Tucker.

Insidious: The Red Door is now available in theaters nationwide. While Patrick Wilson and the other original cast members reprise their roles, Wilson also directs this latest installment.
The final Insidious movie continues to garner praise for its focus on critical themes. The relationship between fathers and sons, overcoming past traumas, and dealing with challenges within a family each have mass relatability to a large fan base.
