Israeli Military on High Alert with Iran and Hezbollah

John Kirby, a spokesman for the National Security Council, stated that the U.S. assessment aligns with Israel’s view that an attack by Iran and its proxies could occur soon.

 In a show of support, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin informed Gallant that U.S. military deployments in the Middle East are being strengthened to protect Israel and deter any aggression.

In response to the growing tensions, the U.S. has ordered the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group to expedite its arrival in the Middle East, where it will join the USS Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group.

 The USS Lincoln, equipped with F-35C jet fighters, is expected to arrive in the region within two weeks. Additionally, the guided-missile submarine USS Georgia, capable of carrying over 150 Tomahawk missiles, has been deployed to the area.

Escalation in the Region

The area has effectively been at war since Iranian backed forces attacked Gaza on October 7 of last year.
