Nonprofits Hail ‘Tremendous Relief’
For organizations on the frontlines, the ruling provided much-needed certainty.
“This injunction is a tremendous relief for thousands of nonprofits struggling to keep their vital work going amid the administration’s reckless funding freeze,” said Diane Yentel, president of the National Council of Nonprofits.
Skye Perryman, CEO of the Democracy Forward Foundation, echoed that sentiment. “The Trump administration’s lawless attempt to harm everyday Americans in service of a political goal has been halted. This ruling allows our clients to continue serving their communities.”
What’s Next?
With the court’s ruling in place, the Trump administration is legally barred from reviving the freeze. However, given the political stakes, further legal skirmishes may be inevitable.
For now, organizations that provide critical services to children, seniors, disaster victims, and veterans can breathe a sigh of relief—at least until the next legal showdown.
