Six days ahead of November 5, the vice president’s team is also reportedly optimistic about the strong early voting turnout throughout the country.

Direct comments from the Harris camp about early voting across America

Ian Sams, a senior advisor for the vice president’s 2024 campaign, spoke with NewsNation yesterday. During his remarks, Sams expressed that Harris and her team feel “really good” about high rates of early voting.

The vice president’s aide also pointed out this year’s early voting metrics are surpassing the ones Democrats had in 2022. Ultimately, Harris’ team is confident that early voting will play a pivotal role in her winning this election, come Tuesday, November 5.

Harris’ presidential campaign chair, Jen O’Malley Dillon, also shared similar commentary. Despite saying the 2024 race will be quite close, Dillion believes the vice president will prevail next week.

The campaign chair then pointed out the considerable turnout among various demographics they’re focusing on. This includes Americans who are registered to vote, but don’t necessarily turn out to the polls in every election. Even among this group, Dillion maintains the Harris campaign is seeing them get their ballots in.
