Scaling Global Ambitions
Kraken said the funds will be used to expand global operations, pursue new regulatory licenses, and broaden its product portfolio “both organically and through targeted acquisitions.”
The company plans aggressive expansion into Latin America, Asia Pacific, and EMEA, while branching beyond crypto into new asset classes, advanced trading tools, staking solutions, additional payment services, and enhanced institutional offerings—a move that signals ambitions stretching far beyond its exchange roots.
A Long-Rumored Valuation Becomes Reality
Talks of Kraken hitting a valuation near $20 billion began circulating in September, following an earlier $15 billion valuation achieved through a $500 million raise earlier this year.
The exchange is also reportedly considering an initial public offering, a possibility it has floated publicly since 2021—now looking increasingly plausible as its valuation mounts and institutional backers line up.
