While the foreclosure action focuses on select buildings, it excludes other Station Square assets like the Grand Concourse restaurant, the Sheraton hotel, and newer developments such as a soccer stadium and apartments.
Station Square has been a Pittsburgh landmark since its redevelopment in the 1970s. However, recent challenges include rising vacancies and closures, such as Buca di Beppo’s bankruptcy exit and the upcoming closure of the Hard Rock Cafe in February.
Counsel for Wilmington Trust did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Representatives for Brookfield Properties were also unavailable for comment.
