Despite polling that demonstrated opposition to this, the 2024 presidential race has once again come down to Joe Biden vs. Donald Trump. Earlier this month, Americans learned that both White House contenders agreed to participate in two debates against one another before November.
Each candidate is regularly in the news cycle. Mainstream media outlets are eager to cover the Biden and Trump campaigns, along with the issues that are most impactful during this election. Abortion, immigration, and the economy are just some topics at the very top of the list.
However, many Americans don’t seem too eager for the real time updates. As a matter of fact, a poll from the Pew Research Center showed that most people are altogether fed up with the coverage.
Enough is enough
62% of Americans feel “worn out” by the constant briefings on what Trump and Biden are doing on the campaign trail. On the flip side, only 35% told the Pew Research Center that they enjoy getting these ongoing updates about what’s transpiring.
