CMPD, while ensuring that the transit center remains secure for the public, emphasized the tragedy of the incident. “The transit center is a safe space,” assured Major J.D. Thomas. “Though this incident is unfortunate, CATS remains committed to security, and officers are always present.”
Officials have yet to release the identity of the man shot in the transit center. As of now, no charges have been filed against the security guard.
