Judge Nance, who has been on the bench since 2012, said that she is disappointed by what happened in the disciplinary process. The charges are a “travesty of justice,” she declared. She noted that this experience has given her a view of the justice system from the perspective of those falsely accused itself and that the ongoing investigation is smudging what was previously her “unblemished” 25-year legal career.

Nance, who is representing herself for the moment, stands for re-election in November. She has asked that the commission act in accordance with the special masterU5s recommendation and dismiss the charges, as continuing proceedings would be “harassment.”Legal Representation

Currently, Judge Nance is representing herself in the case. The Judicial Tenure Commission is represented by Lynn Helland, Lora Weingarden, Nichollette Hoard, and Rebecca Jurva-Brinn.
