Historic NIL Settlement Reached in May

The settlement was originally reached in May 2023 with plaintiffs led by former Arizona State University swimmer Grant House. The Power 5 conferences, including the Big Ten, Southeastern Conference, Big 12, Atlantic Coast Conference, and Pac-12, were also involved in the landmark agreement. The NCAA NIL settlement represents a crucial shift in how college athletes will be compensated for their name, image, and likeness rights, addressing longstanding antitrust concerns.

NCAA NIL Settlement Ok : What’s Next?

The final approval hearing for the NCAA NIL settlement is scheduled for April 7, 2025.
