A Boost for Kersia’s Biosecurity Arsenal
For Kersia, a global powerhouse in biosecurity and food safety with operations in more than 120 countries, the acquisition adds firepower to its existing solutions. The company, which employs over 3,000 people, views Neogen’s cleaner and disinfectant portfolio as a strategic complement.
“Together, we will pursue our mission to ensure food safety across the food chain,” said Sébastien Bossard, CEO of Kersia.
The synergy is clear: both companies are entrenched in the food safety space, and the merger of assets looks poised to amplify their collective impact from farm to fork.
Leadership Changes Add Another Layer of Transition
The deal comes at a pivotal moment for Neogen, as it simultaneously prepares for a change at the top. Earlier this month, Adent announced plans to step down after eight years with the company. He will continue in his current roles until a successor is named.
Neogen’s board has formed a special committee to direct the CEO search—another signal that the company is undergoing a metamorphosis as it positions itself for its next chapter.
