This sentiment is especially pronounced among younger voters. This is a demographic that Biden’s struggled with recently, as many younger leftists disagree with his overall support for Israel.
Months ago, different surveys showed that as many as 70% of Americans preferred not to see Trump and Biden face off again this November. Yet, the seemingly strong appetite for new candidates didn’t transfer into tangible results during the primaries.
Biden and Trump each faced rivals hoping to win their respective party’s nomination. Yet, in the end, Biden secured the necessary delegates to become the Democrat Party’s presumptive nominee; the same happened with Trump on the Republican side.
It might not matter in November
November 2024 may ultimately come down to which candidate voters dislike least. If so, Biden could eke out another victory, just as he did in 2020.
