With the Iowa caucuses coming up for Republicans in a matter of days, all eyes are on the state.
In November 2023, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis made national headlines when Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds came out and endorsed him. Since then, Reynolds has been participating in grassroots efforts to raise support for DeSantis and encourage residents of the state to vote for him on Monday.
So far, DeSantis is the only Republican seeking the GOP nomination who’s been to all 99 counties in Iowa. Yet despite reaching this milestone and winning an impressive endorsement from the state’s conservative governor, a brand new poll out of Iowa shows Nikki Haley several points ahead.

In the Hawkeye State, a new Suffolk University poll shows Haley carrying 20% support amongst Iowans most likely to vote in the caucuses. DeSantis, meanwhile, comes in with 13% backing him.
These latest numbers follow a new surge of momentum for Haley in the GOP primary. The former UN ambassador is ahead of DeSantis in New Hampshire and also holds the endorsement of the state’s Republican governor.
