Over the weekend, news broke that Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds was projected to endorse Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the 2024 presidential election. This comes as DeSantis has been fiercely campaigning, traveling across Iowa (and other states) to make his case to the American people.
Immediately after the country learned of Reynolds’ expected endorsement, multiple pundits stated this would significantly shake up the current GOP primary. Amid the approach of the Iowa caucuses, DeSantis can only stand to benefit from having the endorsement of the state’s very popular leader.
On Monday, the highly anticipated endorsement from Iowa’s governor finally came through. During a rally with DeSantis, Reynolds clearly stated that she’s fully behind the Florida governor’s presidential campaign.
