Todd Bridges’ Divorce Prenup Exposes Adultery Clause, No-Alimony Pact and $20,720 Website Fight

Todd Bridges entered divorce court with a prenuptial agreement apparently designed to make any breakup orderly, predictable and financially clean. Instead, the Diff’rent Strokes star’s three-year marriage is ending with a detailed dispute involving adultery language, separate property, disability, tax liabilities and the fate of his official website.

Bridges, 61, filed a petition to dissolve his marriage to designer and photographer Bettijo B. Hirschi in Maricopa County, Arizona, on March 31. He alleged that the marriage was “irretrievably broken” and that efforts to resolve their problems had failed.

Initial filings indicated that the couple had no children together, neither spouse was seeking support and the remaining terms had been resolved through an agreement outside court. Both parties were reportedly representing themselves. Bridges filed a petition for dissolution without minor children.

Subsequent filings, however, reveal that unwinding the marriage may be more complicated than the initial paperwork suggested.

At the center of the case is a meticulous prenuptial agreement governing earnings, property, debts, bank accounts, insurance and post-divorce support. The agreement reportedly provides that neither Bridges nor Hirschi must financially support the other after the marriage ends.

If enforced as written, that provision would ordinarily prevent either spouse from receiving alimony.

The prenup also treats income earned during the marriage—including salaries, bonuses, gifts, dividends, distributions and other payments—as the separate property of the spouse who earned or received it. Individually held bank accounts would remain separate, while genuinely joint accounts would be treated as jointly owned.

Property and debts acquired during the marriage are similarly assigned to the spouse who obtained them, according to the reported terms. Each party would also be responsible for securing and paying for their own health insurance after the divorce.

One unusual provision addresses disability. The agreement reportedly states that neither spouse promised to care for the other indefinitely if a disability arose during the marriage. Although starkly worded, that clause appears intended to prevent the marriage itself from being interpreted as a permanent contractual guarantee of financial care.

The agreement’s adultery language may attract the most attention—and requires careful reading.

According to the reported wording, the prenup applies when a divorce results from an irretrievable breakdown, incompatibility with no possibility of reconciliation, or adultery by either spouse. On its face, that language appears to identify adultery as one possible triggering ground for enforcement. It does not plainly state that the agreement becomes invalid whenever either spouse is unfaithful.

That distinction matters. An adultery clause can operate as a penalty, a condition or simply a defined event activating other contractual provisions. The full agreement—not one sentence in isolation—would determine which interpretation is correct.

Arizona law generally requires a premarital agreement to be written and signed. A party resisting enforcement must ordinarily prove that the agreement was not signed voluntarily or that it was unconscionable when executed and accompanied by inadequate financial disclosure. The court decides unconscionability as a matter of law. Arizona Revised Statutes § 25-202 establishes those enforcement standards.

Arizona law also permits couples to contract over property rights, the division of property following divorce, the modification or elimination of spousal support and the law governing interpretation of the agreement. Section 25-203defines that contractual scope.

The most immediate fight may involve RealToddBridges.com.

Hirschi claims her company, Loop 101 LLC, created, branded and managed the website. She reportedly values that work at $20,720 and has proposed several options: Bridges can pay that amount and assume control, allow her company to continue operating the site under a profit-sharing arrangement, or permit the website to be permanently terminated.

Under the proposed continuing-management arrangement, Loop 101 would reportedly receive the first $4,000 in annual net profits, with additional profits divided equally. Hirschi would continue hosting the website for $40 per month, using merchandise revenue to cover the charge and invoicing Bridges for any shortfall. The website is one of the divorce’s central financial disputes.

Hirschi is also seeking reimbursement for a joint credit-card account. She claims she paid the balance to protect her credit and wants Bridges to reimburse her for what she considers his half. Published figures identify the balance as $18,275.87 but the requested reimbursement as $9,187.94. Those numbers do not mathematically reconcile—half of the stated balance would be approximately $9,137.94—meaning the discrepancy could reflect a reporting error, added charges or a different underlying balance.

She further claims Bridges owes her $3,164 for half of an alleged 2025 federal tax debt. Meanwhile, Bridges would reportedly be credited $8 for his share of $16 in state tax refunds.

These remain claims presented in an ongoing divorce proceeding. A filing is not a judgment, and the court has not necessarily determined that Bridges owes the requested amounts. The judge must reconcile the parties’ joint obligations with a prenup that largely assigns assets and debts separately.

Bridges and Hirschi married in September 2022 after meeting earlier that year. They have no biological children together, although both entered the marriage with children from previous relationships.

The prenup reportedly gives Hirschi exclusive decision-making authority over her children and bars Bridges from interfering with her parental role. Because those children are not children of the marriage, the provision appears aimed at defining boundaries rather than establishing court-ordered custody rights.

Bridges announced the separation in January, describing it as a difficult decision reached after prayer and reflection. What began publicly as a respectful ending has now become a revealing example of a basic legal truth: a prenup can draw the map for a divorce, but the parties may still fight over where the contractual lines were placed.
