Wednesday’s proceedings included testimonies from two former Trump administration officials, Katrina Pierson and Kashyap “Kash” Patel. They addressed claims that Trump failed to act during the January 6 Capitol riot.
Pierson, who served as a national spokesperson for Trump’s 2016 campaign and later as a senior adviser, expressed concerns about individuals with questionable motives speaking at Trump’s January 6 rally.
Kashyap “Kash” Patel, the former chief of staff to acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller, revealed that Trump had authorized the deployment of National Guard troops before the rally but cited bureaucratic hurdles in activating them.
