Earlier this morning, President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump wished Americans a very Merry Christmas in a video uploaded to their social media channels.

In the footage, the president noted the sacredness of Christmas and how Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Trump also noted the value of caring for other people, uniting, coming together, and showing compassion.

Shortly thereafter, the First Lady lauded the great work and service of military officials, police officers, and other law enforcement members. Mrs. Trump additionally noted that each of these groups keeps Americans safe and wished them well.

Finally, the video ended with the president noting his prayers for service members who cannot be with their families during the holidays. Trump also expressed an interest in joy to the world, peace between nations, a Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year.
