Historic Abraham Accords

Tenney lauded Trump's efforts in facilitating the groundbreaking normalization agreements between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Sudan, Morocco, and Bahrain. In what she describes as the first new Middle East peace agreements in almost three decades.

In her statement on Tuesday, Tenney expressed admiration for Trump. She said he challenged the long-standing belief that additional Middle East peace agreements were impossible without a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The Abraham Accords, a series of diplomatic triumphs during Trump's presidency, marked a departure from conventional diplomatic approaches in the region.

Tenney, a staunch supporter of Trump, underscored the unparalleled nature of the former president's efforts in creating the accords.

Trump's Nomination

She lamented the Nobel Peace Prize Committee's failure to recognize Trump's achievements, asserting the need for his nomination.

The representative from Upstate New York's 24th Congressional District took the opportunity to contrast Trump with the current administration. She accused President Biden of "weak leadership" on the international stage.

She argued that Trump's strong leadership and commitment to achieving world peace deserved recognition, especially in the face of perceived challenges to the country's safety and security under Biden's watch.

Nobel Peace Prize

This marks Trump's fifth Nobel Peace Prize nomination since 2020. Previous nominations highlighted his work on the Abraham Accords, as well as his foreign policy philosophy, known as the "Trump Doctrine," which proponents argue has prevented the United States from engaging in "endless wars."

Nominations from various global figures, including members of the Norwegian and Swedish Parliaments, an Australian law professor, and a European Parliament representative, have contributed to Trump's consistent presence in the running for the prestigious award.

The winner of the Nobel Peace Prize is set to be announced in October, and as Trump remains a recurring nominee, the debate surrounding his eligibility for this esteemed recognition continues to draw international attention.
