White & Case LLP has recently fortified its team by adding Peter Berg as a partner in its Houston office, enhancing its global project development and finance practice as well as its energy and U.S. construction sectors. Berg joins the firm from King & Spalding LLP, bringing with him extensive expertise in managing the complexities of on-shore and offshore energy projects worldwide.
Berg’s role will primarily focus on guiding owners, developers, and lenders through the multifaceted engineering, procurement, and construction stages of energy projects, particularly those involving renewable energies. His portfolio is diverse, encompassing pioneering projects like long-distance transmission, carbon capture, and hydrogen-based technologies.
Expressing enthusiasm about his new position, Berg highlighted his reunion with former colleagues David Strickland and Michael Yates, both of whom joined White & Case in 2018. He is drawn to the firm’s robust global presence and its renowned capabilities in handling major construction projects both in the Americas and internationally.
