Through the firm’s Venture strategy, WndrCo targets founders “reshaping” their respective industries. So far, the firm has made investments in companies such as 1Password, a password manager; Airtable, a platform that builds next-gen apps; Databricks, a data, analytics, and artificial intelligence company; and Figma, a collaborative interface design tool, among others.
WndrCo’s Seed strategy invests early in up-and-coming entrepreneurs. To date, the firm has made investments through its Seed strategies in companies such as Yassir, an app for paying for rides, meals, and grocery deliveries; Material Security, a detection and response kit for email; ComplianceCow, a security compliance platform; and Twelve Labs, a multimodal artificial intelligence company.
Partnership and Acquisition Strategy
The firm’s third strategy, its Build strategy, looks to partner with founders and CEOs and often acquires controlling stakes in “underappreciated” technology companies, the statement said.
