It appears as though the election of Donald Trump has prompted other unorthodox Americans to make bids for public office. The latest manifestation of this comes in the form of Robert Ritchie’s (more commonly known as Kid Rock) possible run for the Michigan Senate. According to Free Beacon, Kid Rock is currently leading his would be Democrat rival Debbie Stabenow in a newly released Delphi Analytica poll.
Many Americans have already begun to speculate the ways in which Kid Rock could successfully secure a Senate seat. According to The Federalist‘s Jordan Gehrke, it would be in Kid Rock’s best interest to employ his heartfelt love for Detroit as a tool to connect with the people of Michigan and secure the votes needed to beat Stabenow.
Interestingly enough, Gehrke believes it may be in Kid Rock’s best interest to apply the same techniques that President Trump used when he ran for office. Like Donald Trump, Kid Rock is an intriguing figure; his unorthodoxy will prove to be invaluable and help him stand out from schooled, rehearsed politicians who use the same old soundbites that voters have tired of.
