Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) of New York, a self-avowed socialist, has been railing against our establishment since she became a lawmaker.  Most dangerously, against any capitalist qualities of our mixed economic structure.

Her 'Green New Deal' has been dismissed as nonsense by many, including Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Many of the emotive issues she has brought to light have been ignored as being the rantings of a petulant, socialist child.

But by underestimating her drive and will to succeed, she is making strides towards rewriting our nation's reality into her 'own moral truth.'

 Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, following Obama and Clinton administration member, Rahm Emanuel's lead is not going to, "Let a serious crisis go to waste." It allows you the "opportunity to do things you think you could not do before."

She and other Democrats started discussing the need to form a commission to 'rein in' what she and a handful of others see as media 'disinformation and misinformation'. Unfortunately, her take on misinformation has been anything that moves against her personal agenda and the concepts of socialism.

On Thursday night, AOC released a statement on Instagram Live saying "a federal truth and reconciliation commission was being discussed."

“I can say, there is absolutely a commission being discussed,” AOC said, in response to a question posed. “But it seems to be more investigatory, in style rather than truth and reconciliation, so I think that’s an interesting concept for us to explore.”

“And I do think that several members of Congress, in some of my discussions, have brought up media literacy because that’s part of what happened here,” she continued. “And we’re going to have to figure out how we rein in our media environment so that you can’t just spew disinformation and misinformation.”

This is stemming from her and other Democratic leaders being "traumatized" by the U.S. Capitol mob attack on January 6. AOC even went so far as to state, “I thought I was going to die. I did not know if I was going to make out of that day alive.”

She brashly claimed, she 'was scared of her Republican colleagues because she was worried that one of them may divulge her location to the mob.'
