AWP founder Jared Leisek accused of 1992 child rape

Adventures With Purpose (AWP) founder Jared Leisek has been accused of two counts of child rape that allegedly took place in 1992. And he was arrested in Utah on January 5.

The victim is allegedly a relative who was 9 or 10, at the time. And Leisek was 16 or 17 years old when the incident took place.

The bail amount was not available in the Sanpete County jail booking records. And it is unknown if he is still in custody.

In 2013 Utah removed the statute of limitations for these types of cases.

According to court documents the first incident occurred in the alleged victim’s bedroom in Ephraim, Utah.

Child rape complaint in Utah

Deputy County Attorney Arek E. Butler said in the criminal complaint, “Just before November 1, 1992, the victim lived in Ephraim, which is located in Sanpete County.”

And that “the defendant pinned the victim to the ground” and “pulled her underwear down and put his penis in her vagina.”

Per the documents, the second alleged incident occurred at their grandparents’ house in Manti, Utah, that same year.
