Biden to Preach Unity over Anger at Campaign Stop

“Well, I don’t believe it. I believe Democrats want to unify this nation. That’s what we’ve always been about. Unity. If the American people want a president to add to our division, to lead with a clenched fist, closed hand and a hard heart, to demonize the opponents and spew hatred – they don’t need me. The already have a president who does just that.”

The former vice president will also affirm that he is running in order to better America for “Democrats, Republicans, and Independents.”

How Would Biden Fare in a General Election

Since Biden will appear in Philadephia later today, the reaction to his forthcoming statements remains to be seen. However, the former vice president’s lead has raised questions about how Biden would fare in a general election.

In both liberal and conservative circles, Biden is largely regarded as a centrist and one of the more moderate Democrat candidates. This, in and of itself, makes Biden likelier to appeal to a wider audience of Americans than the more hardcore, progressives candidates within his party.
