Bill Gates says That the World Should get Rid of Bitcoin — it’s Being Used by Criminals

“I don’t own bitcoin, I’m not short bitcoin, so I’ve taken a neutral view,” he said in the interview that aired on CNBC’s “Sqawk Box” show.

“I do think moving money into a more digital form and getting transaction costs down, that’s something the Gates Foundation does in developing countries,” he added.

The comments are not the first “unusual comments” made by Gates. He said Wednesday that wealthy countries should shift to 100% plant-based meat instead of real meat — to better serve the climate change cause.

On the other hand, Buffett praised Elon Musk for his role in helping the climate change cause. However, Buffett and Gates don’t seem to be in accord with Elon Musk regarding the cryptocurrencies — or investing money in Bitcoin.
