The cryptocurrency exchange also stated that it’s trying hard to get its servers back. It is also collaborating with local police authorities to identify the hackers and will update its security in “the next few days”.

Livecoin retrieved the frontend control back on December 24 and published an announcement where they explained themselves. A few hours later, the whole website was finally up and running again.

Some Livecoin users alleged that the hack was an inside job so they can make money on behalf of their customers. However, the claim is only a conspiracy theory. Russian local police authorities are investigating the hack and Livecoin promised to inform its users of any update.
