On Wednesday, failed 2016 election candidate Hillary Clinton once again spoke out. This time, she opined that her affinity for capitalism damaged her with Democratic voters, reports The Hill.

An Overview of Clinton’s Remarks

Since the inception of Donald Trump’s Presidential victory, Hillary Clinton has continually speculated about matters which engendered her loss. While some Americans cited poor policies and marginalization of Trump supporters as the cause of Clinton’s loss, the failed candidate had other ideas. In addition to blaming James Comey, Fox News, Bernie Sanders, Republicans, Democrats, and more, Clinton’s latest scapegoat is capitalism.

In her own words:

It’s hard to know, but I mean if you’re in the Iowa caucuses and 41 percent of Democrats are socialists or self-described socialists, and I’m asked ‘Are you a capitalist?’ I say, ‘Yes, but with appropriate regulation and appropriate accountability.’ You know, that probably gets lost in the ‘Oh my gosh, she’s a capitalist!’
