The “Chrisley Knows Best” show was a favorite to many, however prosecutors claim that the entire empire was built on lies and faked documents. The couple managed to receive a total of $36 million in loans, from a total of 29 banks since 2006. The sentencing came in November, after a three-week jury. The couple was ordered to pay $17.2 million in restitution, along with their former accountant Peter Tarantino. The Chrisley’s are currently appealing their convictions.
The criminal case is USA v. Chrisley et al., case number 1:19-CR-00297, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
