The future of the Devils on the Run Tour is currently uncertain in the wake of Rivera’s passing.
Rivera is survived by his wife, Sarah, and their four children. His family, along with countless fans, mourns the loss of a man whose work illuminated some of the world’s darkest legends.
While the legend of Annabelle draws intrigue and doubt, Spera defends the doll’s paranormal reputation.
“In a way, I don’t blame people for being skeptical,” he told NBC News. “If people don’t know about the demonic, it’s very difficult to believe that these things are happening—but they do happen.”
