In a White House statement issued after the bombing, President Biden expressed his outrage and deep sadness over the incident. He directed his national security team to continue gathering information about the event. In recent days, President Biden has strongly condemned Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel while affirming the U.S. government’s support for Israel. He also emphasized that Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people’s right to dignity and self-determination.

“The United States stands unequivocally for the protection of civilian life during conflict, and we mourn the patients, medical staff, and other innocents killed or wounded in this tragedy,” the White House stated in a press release on Tuesday.
