The Supreme Court’s protection of access to mifepristone and allowance of provisions that bar homeless people from sleeping or camping on public property is also favored by more than half of Americans.

However, on issues like overturning Roe v. Wade and granting presidents immunity from prosecution against “official acts,” most Americans oppose SCOTUS’ rulings.

Democrats rally behind SCOTUS reform

Sensing public discontent with many aspects of the Supreme Court, President Biden has called for changes to how the body operates. Among these proposals are term limits of 18 years, a Congress-enforced code of conduct, and restrictions on presidential immunity.

Immediately after Biden released these ideas, many Democrats rallied behind them in support. Several Republicans, on the other hand, came out in opposition.
