The families of the victims continue to mourn, and many have allowed interviewing where they have expressed the heart-wrenching couple of months they have faced. A family member of one of the victims had this to say after the arrest was made back at the end of December: “We still have such a long road ahead of us. The relief that we all felt having a suspect in custody was, I can’t even describe it, like the weight of the world was lifted from our shoulders.” Memorials and vigils continue to be organized for the victims, reaching the eyes and the hearts of millions around the world.
Kohberger will continue to wait in custody, and will be held without bond until his next court date.
