Within the past nine days, the 2024 presidential election has shifted. Amid Vice President Kamala Harris replacing President Biden as the Democrat Party’s presumptive nominee, everyone is looking at this election very differently.

Many Americans feel passionate, energized, and eager to get involved. The Harris campaign is launching events nationwide, urging people to chip in and support her with less than 100 days left until Election Day.

The vice president’s team is not just focusing on traditional blue states, but it’s also centering swing states like North Carolina and red states like Florida. To this end, the Harris campaign feels Florida is very much in play and could flip blue in November.

Getting Floridian voters excited

In the Sunshine State, a right-leaning retirement area known as The Villages saw hundreds of golf carts parading in the streets, all in support of the vice president’s candidacy. With about 30% of voters in Florida not registered with the GOP or the Democratic Party, the Harris election campaign senses an opportunity to make inroads.
