Judge Allen Winsor, on Thursday, handed down a judgment that dismissed the plea by four Chinese citizens and a real estate company, which was geared towards preventing the execution of Florida’s new law on foreign property ownership.

Winsor acknowledged the plaintiffs’ potential right to challenge S.B. 264, a controversial law that has been operative since July 1.

However, he likened their claims to a house built on sand, asserting that they didn’t exhibit a significant likelihood of success.

A key bone of contention was their inability to demonstrate that Florida’s law clashed with established federal regulations.
