In August, polling revealed a notable gender split in the 2024 presidential election. Women were more likely to support Vice President Harris’ efforts to win the White House. Many male voters, on the other hand, preferred to reelect former President Trump.

These findings have led to a series of discussions about whether efforts to connect with female or male voters will prove to be more impactful. Amid many in the media stressing that Trump has an issue with women, others began asserting that Harris needs to further her outreach to men.

To the vice president’s credit, she’s laid out a series of policy proposals, stressing the positive impacts they’ll bring to men’s lives. Among them are downpayment assistance for first-time homebuyers and a $6,000 tax credit to new parents.

Harris likewise stressed that she plans to offer homebuilders incentives to create three million new residential accommodations before her first term as president ends, should she be elected, of course.

In a follow up to August’s polling, a new Harvard survey suggests the gender gap in support for Harris vs. Trump is only deepening.

Here’s what the numbers tell us

Among young Americans who are registered to vote, the vice president carries a 20-point lead over her opponent. However, among women, her lead expands to 30%. With men, it drops down to 10%.
