Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith confirmed an increased law enforcement presence around synagogues, schools, and other faith-based institutions in the D.C. area.
“The safety of our community is our top priority,” Smith said. “We will not allow acts of terror to destabilize our city.”
