Samuel Haskell IV, the 35-year-old son of a well-known former Hollywood agent’s son, has been accused of murdering his wife and in-laws. And trying to dispose of plastic bags filled with their body parts. 

Haskell was arrested on November 8 in connection with the discovery of an "unidentified female torso" found in a dumpster on Ventura Boulevard and Rubio Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). He has been held on suspicion of murder. And his arrest has sent shockwaves through Hollywood circles.

Haskell's involvement came to light when a group of day laborers, who claimed to have been hired by him, tried to report him to the police.

Horrific Discovery

 The laborers stated that Haskell paid them $500 to move three large trash bags, initially believed to contain rocks. Upon closer inspection, the workers discovered the bags were filled with soft and soggy contents, weighing around 50 pounds each. To their horror, they found body parts inside.

"I started seeing body parts, a belly button," one worker recounted to NBC Los Angeles. Feeling deceived, the laborers promptly returned the money, left the bags on Haskell's driveway, and reported the incident to the LAPD. Shockingly, they claim to have been turned away from an LAPD station and instructed to call 911.

Upon investigating Haskell's residence, authorities uncovered blood evidence and other items, according to LAPD Det. Efren Gutierrez. The LAPD is currently searching for Haskell's wife, Mei Li Haskell, along with her parents, Gaoshan Li and Yanxiang Wang, who are all reported missing. And it is feared that the body parts belong to the missing family.

Hollywood Agent’s Son

Two vehicles, a white VW Tiguan and a white 2014 Nissan Pathfinder, are also sought in connection to the case.

Sam Haskell III, Haskell's father and a former executive Vice President of the William Morris Agency, represented A-list clients such as Kathie Lee Gifford, Ray Romano, Whoopi Goldberg, Dolly Parton, and George Clooney. Haskell's current company, Magnolia Hill Productions, has yet to comment on the disturbing allegations.

The LAPD's news release revealed that Haskell and Mei Li Haskell share three children, who have been located and are now with family members. Samuel Haskell is currently held on $2 million bail, and he is scheduled to appear in court on Monday. The unfolding details of this gruesome incident have left the community in shock, prompting questions about the darker side of Hollywood's elite.
