2023 is quickly wrapping up. In less than two weeks, a new year and new possibilities will be here for the taking. The end of each December is a time when many folks begin putting together New Year's Resolutions and setting goals for how they'd like to start off the upcoming 365 days.

However, being intentional and strategic is important as one sets these resolutions. Ideally, each person should form goals for 2024 that challenge them, yet are still within their reach.

Hence, the following three tips are worth taking into account as you put together your New Year's Resolutions for 2024.

Break down larger goals into smaller steps

Establishing goals like losing 100 pounds or raising your net worth by $100,000 is doable with time and consistency. That's why breaking them down in steps (such as by getting in three hours of exercise each week or bringing on five new clients each month) is so essential.

By taking on big goals through progressive, meaningful efforts, they become easier and more manageable to accomplish.

Don't forget them as the new year carries on

Did you know that a lot of people completely abandon their New Year's Resolutions as the months drag on, only to then set fresh ones in late December? When life gets busy, forgetting about what you vowed to do the year before is easier than it may seem.

This makes remaining committed to your New Year's Resolutions all the more critical. Writing your goals down, putting them on sticky notes on your mirror, or even setting reminders on your phone are all great ways to hold yourself accountable and stick with what you set out to do.

Surround yourself with a great support system

By all means, seeing your New Year's Resolutions through is doable on your own. With that said, having a fantastic support system by your side makes following through much easier.

The people in your corner should want to see you win and actively root for you. Keeping the right ones by your side means putting yourself in spaces where you're encouraged to win and turn your resolutions into realities.
