Watchdog Agency May Step In
The OCE, a non-partisan, independent entity created by the House of Representatives, is responsible for reviewing allegations of misconduct involving congressional lawmakers and their staff. Lowell suggests that Greene’s actions during the hearing, which he describes as an attempt to “generate some clicks online” and fundraise by causing embarrassment to Hunter Biden, may be subject to scrutiny by the OCE.
Lowell further critiqued Greene’s actions as a “political stunt” and argued that rather than evaluating the validity of the testimonies from IRS agents or reviewing tax laws, Greene used her position to generate sensationalist content for the media at the expense of Biden.
