At one point, Kestan also recalled a month-long stay at LA’s Chateau Marmont. The hotel is infamous as the site where former “Saturday Night Live” star John Belushi took a fatal overdose in 1982.
Hunter was eventually “blacklisted” from the hotel where he stayed for 5 months in 2018. He admitted in his 2021 memoir, “Beautiful Things” that the hotel booted him out for his drug use and erratic behavior. And he also disclosed that he “learned to cook crack” at the celebrity-friendly hotel.
Kestan testified that Hunter directed her to withdraw “thousands of dollars at a time” from ATMs. He would then give her cash to purchase clothing, meals and other items. And she testified that she had no idea how he obtained such large sums of money, the source said.
