Shin’s voyage into the legal world began at Columbia Law School, graduating in 2001, after securing her foundation with an English and communication degree from Rutgers University. A brief stint at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP paved the way for her to clerk in New York’s Eastern District. By 2003, she sailed to Arnold & Porter, anchoring there for 15 pivotal years before navigating to Weil in 2019.

 Legendary Legal Feats

Among her celebrated cases, Shin played a pivotal role in defending Flagstar Bank in 2013 against accusations of contractual missteps launched by Assured Guaranty Municipal Corp. Additionally, she stood shoulder to shoulder with industry giants like Samsung, Sears, Best Buy, and Lowe’s, shielding them from a proposed class action’s explosive charges tied to Samsung washing machines in 2017. Another feather in her cap came in 2018 when she adeptly countered a proposed class action against Procter & Gamble Co., concerning their allegedly faulty laundry packets.
