During the trip he was already under surveillance by the FBI. After the pair got home the Feds were able to obtain his father’s DNA from the trash. And a few days later, Kohberger was arrested on December 30.
He is charged with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony burglary. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for late June.
