Shapley, Ziegler’s supervisor, and another member of the Biden IRS whistleblowers, was the first to raise accusations against the Justice Department. An experienced IRS agent, he pointed out significant deviations from the standard procedure in the tax investigation into Hunter Biden. These irregularities pushed Shapley, a seasoned professional in international tax and financial crimes, to voice his conscience.

Testimonies Highlight Concerns Over Investigation Process

In their testimonies, both whistleblowers underscored issues they perceived during the investigation. Ziegler claimed he was prevented from pursuing potential leads involving President Biden during the five-year probe. Shapley reported that the request for special counsel status to bring charges outside Delaware was denied, a claim contradicted by U.S. Attorney David Weiss.

Hunter Biden’s legal team has not yet responded to the allegations, while President Biden has consistently denied involvement in his son’s business affairs.
