Italy Texas stabbing: Sheriff's deputies have reported that three children were discovered dead and two others injured in a home located in the Ellis County city of Italy on Friday afternoon. Shamaiya Hall, 25, has been charged with three counts of capital murder of multiple persons, according to Ellis County Jail records. The authorities have not yet revealed the relationship between Hall and the children.

The incident was first reported to law enforcement officers at around 4 p.m. at home near Italy ISD's Stafford Elementary School on the 300 block of South Harris Street, as stated by Ellis County Sheriff's Deputy Jerry Cozby. He further added that "All victims were children. Two children were taken to the hospital. A suspect has been detained in the case."

Currently, investigators have not released any details regarding the circumstances of the deaths and have not provided any information regarding the Texas Italy stabbing incident. However, Cozby reassured the public that the suspect has been detained and there is no immediate threat to the public.

Although family members have claimed that the mother is responsible for their deaths, authorities have not confirmed these claims.

“We are shocked by this incomprehensible tragedy, and already working with law enforcement to investigate how this happened, and why," a Texas Department of Family and Protective Services spokesman said in a statement to NBC 5.
