Durham’s investigation into FBI malfeasance follows President Trump’s claims that the Russia investigation is a “hoax,” a witch hunt driven by the deep state in an attempt to remove Trump from office following his victory against Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Brennan had his security clearance revoked in 2018 following Trump Administration claims that Brennan was using his security clearance to “sow division and chaos.”
Although Brennan has not been charged with a crime, it remains to be seen whether Durham’s investigation will implicate the former director in any illegal activity pertaining to the Russia investigation.
